À PROPOS
This program is designed to address the economic, housing, and workforce development challenges facing small towns across the Southern and Southeastern U.S regions.
Small towns are the backbone of America. Many hold deep historical significance, having played crucial roles in agriculture, history, and industrial development. Yet despite their contributions, they often face declining populations, aging infrastructure, limited employment opportunities, and a lack of investment. Elevate Small Towns was created to change that narrative.
With the help of corporate partners, donors, and local communities, our goal is to turn these overlooked towns into vibrant centers of opportunity. Through targeted investments in housing, small business, workforce training, and education, we aim to create lasting pathways to prosperity.
Our vision includes:
-
Revitalizing historic districts and homes to preserve heritage and inspire economic renewal.
-
Partnering with community leaders, companies, volunteers, etc. in providing real estate, construction, trade, and technology-based career training for Gen Y and Z.
-
Supporting small business incubators and co-working hubs to spark entrepreneurship.
-
Encouraging homeownership through financial literacy, development programs, and real estate education.
By focusing on rebuilding infrastructure, creating affordable housing, and equipping the next generation with skills for the future, AIREE’s Elevate Small Towns initiative fosters sustainable growth, job creation, and community pride.
From towns like Selma, Alabama, to emerging communities in Georgia, Florida, and beyond, Elevate Small Towns offers a framework for long-term economic advancement and local ownership.
We invite donors, corporate partners, government agencies, and volunteers to see the vision and support Elevate Small Towns. Together, we can reignite the potential of these historic communities—helping them thrive once again.
